Interventii preventive in medicina de familie

The clinical prevention guidelines for family doctors that will be developed will allow redefining and improving some tools of the health care system.

The development process will include an improvement through research in accordance with the latest evidence, the Prevention Guide developed under Project RO19.04 “Multilevel interventions for the prevention of non-communicable diseases associated with lifestyle in Romania” and its extension by two chapters, one dedicated to maternal and child health and another for adults in high-risk health groups and risk management interventions. Their use will facilitate the individual identification of risks for non-communicable diseases among patients. The IT solution (PREVENT IT), a tool used for collecting, managing, using data in reporting and for monitoring, with which the risk assessment will be done at the MoF office, allows the development, piloting and adjustment of preventive interventions. The IT solution will be expanded with new modules (eg reproductive health, oral health, personal hygiene, accidents), licensed on all PREVENT user platforms and implemented in 100 family doctors’ offices. An e-Learning package to support the dissemination of additional recommendations and preventive tools will be added to the project’s e-Learning platform. The implementation by family doctors of the modernized model of preventive services in accordance with the package of basic services will make it possible for the population in the pilot communities to benefit from an integrated health risk assessment. Implementation monitoring will be performed by a mentor, and external experts will develop a clinical audit report on the implementation of services that will be used to promote the provision of preventive services among family physicians.
